Confirmation Messages … Confirmed!

That’s right, you can finally do “Text back ‘C’ to confirm” style messages within PinPoint Status! How does this work you ask? Like always, as simply as possible.

For starters, we’ve added a default confirmation message to all premium accounts, which should give you a reasonable place to start. All you have to do is turn it on if you want it.

How does it work?

Message Confirmations are built on top of our trade secret SMS Forwarding Technology (we send SMS messages to your email, shhh), to make sure you are notified when a customer confirms an appointment or sends any other response. This means you can easily receive and handle whatever comes in proactively. If a message comes in that looks “confirm-y”, we will also record that.

By the way, there is a line of code that days read def is_confirmy?, and we couldn’t be more proud.

It gets even better if you are running Moraware because we can also use this event to change the status of your appointment to “confirmed” saving you even more time!
